According to a recent study released in January of 2008, the national intermarriage rate in the age category of 19-39 year olds is 72%. The Stepping Stones experience allows interfaith families to have a more meaningful engagement in Jewish life having received formal education as well as professional-facilitated discussion groups designed to address the challenges of interfaith marriages. The Stepping Stones process allows both spouses to make informed decisions regarding where to affiliate, how to affiliate and most importantly how to bring Judaism into the home in a way that is comfortable, safe and meaningful for all family members. Over 70% of the families that participate in Stepping Stones choose formal affiliation with the Jewish community by way of synagogue membership, Jewish pre-school enrollment, Jewish camping, etc.
