Stepping Stones Family
Stepping Stones Family is the original program for interfaith parents and their children ages 5 to 18. Semesters run September through December and January through May. The program lasts for two years and is organized on a semester basis.
Children are taught about Judaism through fun, hands-on and age-appropriate projects, songs and experiential lessons. Concurrently, parents attend classes to learn about Jewish life and discuss issues in an open, supportive forum. Through discussions of relevant topics, interfaith families gain confidence in making religious decisions for themselves and their children.
Parents attend classes about Jewish life and discuss issues such as barriers into the Jewish community and how to respect your partner's personal history.
For the 2010-2011 school year, Stepping Stones Family meets once a month on Sunday mornings. Please refer to the calendar page for details.
