Pebbles

Pebbles was created in 2004 as a mirror program of Stepping Stones Family for children ages 4 and under along with their parents. The program is an innovative early childhood program that introduces unaffiliated interfaith families to Judaism and is a stimulating and creative setting for young children to learn about the Jewish religion and culture.

Pebbles semesters run September through December and January through May. The program provides a year-long program calendar which includes five family gatherings and a series of parent discussion groups. In addition, Pebbles serves as a community resource to the larger Jewish community.

Together, parents and children participate in family gatherings where they learn about Judaism by engaging in five sensory curricula. This approach helps stimulate and strengthen a child's identity and self-esteem through creative, hands-on learning and exploration of their heritage.

Pebbles participants also attend the family events with Stepping Stones Family participants.

Additionally, parents meet once-a-month for an interactive and supportive discussion about topics relevant to interfaith relationships and parenting young children.
