Phyllis Adler

Phyllis Adler has been associated with Stepping Stones since its inception over 20 years ago. Phyllis was a member of the original Stepping Stones Board. In the opening years, Phyllis taught elementary age classes for Stepping Stones and 12 years ago began to work in the administrative areas of the program. She served as Education Director for over ten years. In the past three years, she has divided her time between the Denver program and national expansion projects. Phyllis received her masters in social work from the University of Denver in 1978.

Deb Dusansky Kornfeld

Deb Dusansky Kornfeld has been in Jewish education for over 18 years. She has directed religious schools from conservative, renewal to unaffiliated. Deb has a Masters in Family Counseling and started the office for Boulder Jewish Family Services 10 years ago. Bringing her talents and passion
together in Jewish education and family counseling, Deb helped start the Boulder Stepping Stones program.

Carol Morris

Carol Morris received a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University. This will be her 13th year teaching religious school at Congregation Emanuel. She was the Advocate for School Excellence at the Colorado Agency for Jewish Education (CAJE) for 5 years and for the past year she has been helping Jewish and interfaith families create meaningful life cycle events with her own company called L’Chaim Celebrations. She is passionate about Jewish education and helping families feel connected to Judaism.

Lorie Lowenthal

Lorie Lowenthal brings a variety of talents to Stepping Stones. Utilizing her background in accounting for the last 20 years, she serves as the Stepping Stones Business Manager. Lorie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Colorado State University and often lends her creative talents to our events. In addition to working at Stepping Stones Lorie works at a local CPA firm preparing tax returns. She also is a visual artist and enjoys creating art with Jewish themes.
